Summary: Christian Kane is a Shade, a type of supernatural being that humanity has come to fear. I am still making a nuisance of myself at wendy's. We finished watching The Big Bang Theory Season two this morning! I love that show something fierce. I am also reading The Gathering Storm the newest Robert Jordan (and now Brandon Sanderson) book. I wish I had time to go back and read book eight through eleven because I know I'm less solid on the details of those books than I am the first seven. But, I am still enjoying it and enjoying spending time with these characters again.

I am heading back to Austin in a few days were I begin working on my next opera. Woo! I also hear back from the summer fellowship in the next week or two so fingers crossed everyone.

In fandom news, I am hoping that this year I will write more than I did last year. I posted only two fics last year - one at the very beginning and one in the last few days. Maybe I can spread it out a little bit. I think I will sign up for Big Bang again this year. I would like to try again. I have three possible ideas to chose from (I am seeing a poll in your near future! *g*).

I am missing Sam and Dean and the show a lot! withdiamonds just posted something about the Pilot and got me ALL nostalgic for season one Sam and Dean when they are BABIES! Another friend on mine just started watching SPN and is in the middle of season two and I sometimes wish I could go back and re-watch some of those episodes for the first time all over again!

Well, it seems I've been busy. I got back to Texas on the 30th and got to catch up with wendy that night. Then on the 31st I got to have brunch with my aunt, uncle, and cousin then had a really successful shopping trip my aunt and cousin! We got some professional wear for me so that when I begin going on all these job meetings and interviews that the next few years are going to be bringing my way I will have things to wear and then got out make up done in completely dramatic awesome ways for NYE.

Then I went and got soylahtayplease and wendy and we met my family for a wonderful meal at this awesome staek house in Dallas. It had amazing service, mouth wateringly good food, and at one hell of a good price (especially on NYE!). It was great because I got to be with family and friends.

Yesterday we had a mini fangirl day and saw Sherlock Holmes (I loved it and all the slashy goodness it provided!) and had dinner and then we all trooped back to Wendy's for dessert and games and general good times.

Today soylahtayplease and I have been trapeing around Dallas after having a final meal with the family before their flight this afternoon. We went to the Bodies exhibit which was really interesting! Now we are waiting for Wendy to return so we can get dinner and she can regale us with stories of all her various adventures in library porn and irate customers.

I hope each and everyone of you had a wonderful new years and that you all can find success and happiness in the coming year.
